Bringing water to our girls in Tanzania

In 2023,  703 million people in the world – almost one in ten – don’t have clean water close to home, according to the WHO and UNICEF.

In 2022, 2.2 billion people still lacked access to safely managed water services, including 1.5 billion with “basic services,” 292 million with “limited” water, 296 million who used unimproved sources and 115 million who still collected drinking water directly from rivers, lakes, and other surface water sources1UNICEF Data: Water.

Access to clean water is a basic human right. You can help us ensure our children have access to water at school by donating during #WorldWaterWeek.

Need for water pumps in Kisarawe Girlstown

Our fundraising during World Water Week 2024 is going towards the provision of water pumps in our Kisarawe, Tanzania to bring clean water to our girls at school.

We need 4 pumps to help create a system to bring water uphill from the cistern to the garden that holds all of the school’s vegetables and fruit trees.
