Since 1998 we have been helping to provide top-quality education to children who would otherwise have no schooling.

Every child deserves an education and a good start in life. Educating a single child helps them to escape poverty and can have a profound effect on their families and communities – it means that every pound spent educating a child has an impact on the relief of poverty worth many times its initial value.

The multiplier effect of education

We have a close relationship with the local communities in each of the countries where we fund schools. Working in line with the UN policy of Sustainable Development Goals we focus on reducing child poverty, improving health, educational attainment and progress into employment and facilitating grassroots change in poverty levels within the local communities.

We provide top-quality education to the most disadvantaged children who would otherwise have no access to learning. We support them as they leave school to secure a good job and as they go on to extend that support to the care of their families and communities. The results of our work are lifelong improvement in employment, health and welfare for our student and generations of their loved ones.

Willing and able to support others

Our graduates not only  support their parents and siblings financially, breaking the cycle of poverty that has often persisted for generations but they are also a source of inspiration – showing that a different kind of life is possible.

They know that they have been given a rare opportunity, are instilled with values of community and responsibility, so most go on to help many others in turn.

We call this ‘the multiplier effect’ – it means that every pound spent educating a child has an impact on the relief of poverty worth many times its initial value.
