Where would we be without our amazing volunteers? Volunteers create a bridge between our Sisters of Mary education programmes and their communities. They give their time, skills, and love to helping children around the world have a better life. By spreading the word about our work and generating interest in World Villages for Children, volunteers help us raise more funds to help more children every day.
Today we recognise and thank our amazing community volunteers in the UK who have added so much value to our children’s lives. When they make themselves available and give their time, they add such quality and heart to our work.
We are especially grateful to our wonderful volunteers, who connect our work with their home communities. Thank you Geoffrey, Enrique, Brenda, Mandy, Sheila, and many more for your hard work and sacrifice! And a huge thank you to Lizzie for her time supporting in the UK office, her support is invaluable over the busy Christmas period!
We have had a few groups volunteer to share their skills directly with the children this year. So a massive thank you to the team from HSBC London, the Philippine Cricket Association, and the Bagshot Cricket Club for sharing skills, donating equipment, and time with our girls in Biga Girlstown, Philippines.
No matter what your skills are, you can make a big difference in the lives of children around the world by giving your time. Whether it’s admin support in our office in London, sharing your unique skills with the children, or going out to your community to spread the word about our work to help our fundraising efforts! And so if you would like to be a volunteer, please get in touch.
