Carey joined World Villages for Children in early 2022 as Fundraising and Communications Manager.
Prior to working with World Villages for Children, Carey worked as a Partnerships Manager in a local poverty relief charity in South East London. She is passionate about people and making a positive change for communities and believes that all people should be afforded the same respect and opportunities in life, being treated with compassion and dignity. Carey has a degree in English and Media and Communications, as well as a Masters in Classics from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. Carey is currently pursuing a part-time MSc in Sustainable Development from the University of Sussex alongside her work.
In her spare time she enjoys reading, baking, and being outdoors as much as possible, as well as volunteering time with the Pimlico Foundation, a youth work charity based in Pimlico.
