Our vision and mission

Our vision  - World Villages for Children is working towards a world where every child grows up free from poverty.

Our mission  - Our mission is to fund the education and the care provided by the Sisters of Mary programmes to transform the lives of the world’s most impoverished children. Education that helps children to become self-sufficient and productive adults able in turn to help their families and communities out of poverty.

Our values

Our humanitarian work is based on the following values which provide guidance and inspiration as we deliver our charitable mission:

Compassion – we passionately care about the world’s most vulnerable children who live on the very edges of society, in the most appalling poverty and living conditions. Our work is driven by their needs.

Dedication – we know that the route out of abject poverty and despair is having access to a quality education so all our work is about making this happen through raising funds for the Sisters of Mary.

Integrity - we are trustworthy. We are indebted to our supporters and greatly value all the donations given to us, ensuring they are carefully spent on providing the best possible future for vulnerable children around the world. We offer the best value to our donors’ investments with 89p from every £1 going direct to the programmes.

Our ethical framework

Our ethical framework and supporting policies, establish high ethical standards through which we assess relationships from within and outside the charity, including: investments, procurement, funding or any significant activity. You can read more here.
