With the support of our wonderful donors, these young girls, like others at our Sisters of Mary schools around the world, are able to study hard and learn skills in science and technology.
The girls love their science classes, they enjoy experimenting and learning new techniques and competing against other schools in science competitions.
These girls are being empowered to realize their potential, to acquire skills which will lead to qualifications and fulfilling careers in science, technology, engineering and maths. They will be able to use these careers to lift themselves from their previous life of poverty and to support their families and members of their local communities to better, more productive lives.
Like our graduate, Clara, who I met in December 2016. Clara came from a life of dreadful poverty. With the kindess of our donors we were able to fund a place for her at the Sisters of Mary girlstown in Mexico, where she developed a love for Maths and Physics. She was eventually able to graduate and to develop those skills into professional qualifications as a full time Maths and Physics teacher. She is now back teaching our girls Maths and Physics at school in Guatemala, sharing her knowledge with the new generation of girls, having supported over 25 of her close siblings and family into full time education and employment!
Your investment in our girls encourages and supports them to achieve their full potential in life.
We couldn't do this work without you - thank you!
