The 2.6 Challenge will launch on Sunday 26th April, which should have been the date of the 40th London Marathon, the world’s biggest one-day annual fundraising event.
We’re asking all our friends and supporters to take part in an activity of their choice based around the numbers 2.6 or 26 and fundraise or donate to support us. The team at World Villages for Children are rowing, cycling and walking to take part in the challenge to raise funds for food for the 20,000 vulnerable children quarantined in our schools across the world. Severe food shortages and rising prices caused by the global Covid-19 pandemic are affecting all the children at our schools.
The 2.6 Challenge is for all home heroes of all ages and abilities. You could run 2.6 miles as your daily exercise, or do 26 minutes of yoga in your house or flat. Just ask your friends and family to sponsor you and take part on or from Sunday 26th April.
Any funds you raise in the challenge will help us supply more and better quality food for the children and help improve their nutrition. These children come to us malnourished. Help us to make them healthy and keep them safe from the virus whilst they complete their education with us.
You can take part by

Whatever you do, you can make a big difference to our children. It only costs just £10 to feed a child for a whole month. Please help us to continue this care for the most disadvantaged children in the world.
