Chalco Day Care

The nursery in Mexico based near the girls’ school in Chalco cares for young children from the nearby communities up to age five and allows their mothers to work.

Young mothers face many challenges in properly caring for their vulnerable youngsters whilst earning enough to support their families. This facility responds to that need. The boys and girls attend for a full day and receive three nutritious meals, (and milk), supervised play and early learning opportunities. They love their time with the Sisters and receive vital foundational education to set them up for future learning. The facilities provide a vital service for this deprived region and are enormously oversubscribed. Currently there are 109 children cared for by the Sisters in this day-care facility.
