Our girls love to play sport to keep fit and stay healthy and they really love football.
In Kisarawe Girlstown, there is no field for the girls to play football on. The girls play football on the concrete sports area instead. Their football team is becoming more successful. It has won medals in local competitions and now, after 6 years of practising on concrete, they urgently need a safe, grass pitch for their football practice.
The school grounds are hilly, so levelling the playing field has been a pipe dream for a long time. But not for much longer! Plans are underway to level an area behind one of the buildings to create a suitable field for the girls. But we need help.
We are currently in Phase 1 of the Kisarawe football pitch project. Ground has been cleared and levelled, but work has been stalled due to heavy rain during the rainy season.
The total cost of the project is approximately £87,000.
