We were thrilled to hear that Highgate Junior School nominated World Villages for Children as one of their charities to support through the year in their various activities.
The pupils at Highgate Junior School participated in several fundraising events including:
Their support is so impactful – they are helping other children have access to free, quality education and care. We love to see children supporting children and being change makers in their local and global community.
In October 2023, Highgate School’s Junior School students nominated World Villages for Children as their charity of choice in their bi-annual Step for Change Sponsored Walk which raised money and awareness for World Villages for Children’s programmes.
The school uses their sponsored walk as an opportunity for students to support a charity of their choosing while taking on a challenge to walk distances near their school.
Through the kind generosity of parents, grandparents, friends, and staff, the pupils at Highgate Junior School raised money to support our programmes, especially our new programme in Tanzania – Dodoma Boys’ School. The funds raised will help provide food, safe shelter, care, and quality academic and vocational education to children in need.
We are so impressed with the Highgate Junior School fundraising efforts! The funds are helping to provide children with:
The impact on children’s lives is huge! For many of our children, they have lived in the most extreme poverty, living on one meal a day, often having to work from a young age to help their families. Now, safe in school, they have the freedom to learn while they are cared for. They have every opportunity they need for a successful life, free from poverty.
