Early life

“My name is Gabino, I am from the state of Guerrero, I am 13 years old, my town is small and it is called El Willow where agriculture is developed. I started working when I was 7 years old with my father and I learned everything about agriculture.

We sowed everything; corn, beans, and vegetables. I was also dedicated to livestock as care; goats, sheep, bulls. I worked n the hill with my family and also caring for animals. I know howl to dig, chaponear and sow. I know hoe to make plow furrows with bulls and horses.”

Agriculture as a future acreer

I like working in the fields, sowing ploughing and weeding. I would like to lean how to use tractors, that’s why I got into farming.

Because I like to work sometime, I feel that I work with my father because he told me “he who works eat” and “he who works where he wants to work fits” and I like to work and learn more that what I know and here I learned new things in this activity.

When I grow up I would like to be an agricultural engineer.

To be a worker is not to be poor, but an experience.”

Gabino loves his agriculture classes at school. With the help of our supporters he will be one of the first to work in the new greenhouses which will help him to learn more about growing crops and how to feed his family.
