Giving a birthday celebration to almost 20,000 children in our schools around the world is a massive undertaking, and each year, on 15th August, the Sisters do a fantastic job of providing all the things the children need for a very happy birthday. All of their work would not be possible without the kindness of our wonderful donors.
For many of our children this was their first ever birthday celebration and the first time they had received a gift. As in previous years, the Sisters in each school organised a party with cake, a special meal and a small practical gift of school supplies or clothing, personalised with the signed gift tags for the children. The gift tags that our donors fill in alongside their gifts mean so much to the children, with many using them as bookmarks throughout the year to remember such a happy time.
This year our children were overwhelmed with the celebrations you made possible. These happy memories made during the day will be one of many during their time at school
