January was a busy month for the Sisters of Mary as they welcomed new children into the schools in Guatemala, Brazil, Honduras and Tanzania.
A total of 1,730 new boys and girls were accepted into the care of the Sisters over the last four weeks. 414 children in Guatemala, 315 in Brazil, 424 in Honduras and 577 in Tanzania. All these boys and girls begin their secondary education with us and they look forward to a brighter future, with an education made possible by the hard work of the Sisters of Mary and the kindness of our supporters.

It was a thrilling time for the children as they received all their new things.
A backpack with all the uniform and clothes they will need, shoes and educational supplies like books, pens and pencils. They joined their new family groups, made new friends and began their lessons.
Most importantly they received medical support to help them onto better health and three balanced meals a day. This will help them to recover from their difficult early lives, grow and thrive during their time at school with us.
None of this care would be possible without the kindness of our friends and supporters – thank you!
